Jrue Holiday just won his second NBA title in four years. He was one of the biggest reasons for the Boston Celtics’ dominance in the 2023-24 season, ending with the franchise winning their 18th title. Jrue’s wife, Lauren Holiday shared a picture of her husband holding his son on the championship podium.

Lauren reposted a post by JLH Social Impact Fund on her Instagram story. Holiday was seen talking to the media after the championship had been handed to the Celtics team. He was also joined by his son Hendrix on the podium.

Jrue Holiday and Lauren met at UCLA when they were still college athletes in 2008. Since then the couple have been together and after years of dating, they got married in 2013. The Holiday couple is perhaps the most successful athlete couple in America.

Lauren represented Team USA in soccer at the international level and was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year in 2014. She won two gold medals in the Olympics in 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London. She also won the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 which was held in Canada.

She gave up playing soccer to focus more on her family as a mother. Now she dedicates most of her time to supporting her children as well as running her foundation ‘Jrue and Lauren Holiday Social Impact Fund Social Impact Fund’ to make a difference in people’s lives.

Lauren Holiday had a short soccer career and in just those few years she played as a professional, she achieved almost everything that an athlete could ever dream of. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, she is a World Cup champion, and a Hall of Fame player in soccer.

Despite retiring from professional soccer, Jrue Holiday still considers Lauren the best athlete in his family. In an interview with the New York Times in 2021, Holiday said that he constantly gets feedback from his wife on his game.

“She’s literally the athlete and the winner in our family. Getting that from her means a lot to me. It’s real, and she backs it up,” Holiday said.

Lauren was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2022 and it was Holiday who surprised her with the news.

Lauren has been very supportive of Jrue Holiday when it comes to his professional life. She has taken most of the family responsibility, helping her husband to focus more on basketball. The couple has been actively involved in social causes. They donated $3.5 million to black-owned businesses when the COVID-19 hit the market.
