Paul Pierce is plunging straight into the ongoing war of words between rap legends Kendrick Lamar, who started his career as K.Dot and Drake. The Boston Celtics legend, who is from Oakland, California, is siding, unsurprisingly, with the Compton native in their nasty back-and-forth. “The Truth” is pulling for the West Coast in the feud among some of the best hip-hop artists.
On Friday, Drake, also known as Drizzy, released another smoldering-hot diss track track called “Taylor Made Freestyle.” This was the Toronto Raptors global ambassador’s second shot at the Pulitzer Prize for Music winner following the release of “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50). On Instagram, “Champagnepapi” boldly waited for his opponent to say something.
Paul Pierce listened to Toronto MC unleash some nasty bars while thinking to himself that it couldn’t go for long before a reply was made. He urged Kendrick Lamar:
“K Dot, we West, we coming back on this.”

Drake’s “Push Ups” took on some of hip-hop's most popular and highly-sought names such as Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and Rick Ross. While the rest have retaliated, K.Dot has mysteriously kept mum.
Drake gave fans the reason why:
“But now we gotta wait a f***ing week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top/ And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve/ This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud/ She tailor made your schedule with Ant, you out of the loop.”
Swift recently released “The Tortured Poets Department,” a highly anticipated album that may have forced K.Dot to hold off for the meantime. Drake is also implying that Lamar Kendrick may be having trouble creating a diss of his own in response. Drizzy claimed that it took him roughly two hours to complete “Push Ups.”
Kendrick Lamar narrated a tribute thanking Paul Pierce’s legacy in basketball, especially in the West Coast
After 19 seasons in the NBA, Paul Pierce decided to call it a career. Following the LA Clippers’ loss in seven games to the Utah Jazz in the 2017 playoffs, the Celtics legend bade farewell to pro basketball. Pierce’s last team in the league called on Kendrick Lamar for a special project thanking the star forward for his Hall of Fame career.
Part of K.Dot’s narration had these lines:
“Not only did Paul Pierce represent Inglewood, he put all of Los Angeles on his back.
“Life is not all about the wins and losses. It’s also about how you affect people.
“Paul Pierce, you are The Truth
The Truth has made it known he is backing up Kendrick Lamar. He can’t wait for the West Coast rapper to drop his diss track against Drake.
