Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks took on the Orlando Magic on Friday night. The Knicks are coming from their fifth consecutive win after defeating the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day. Towns had a solid performance on Wednesday as he notched 21 points and nine rebounds.

Up against the Magic, Towns and the Knicks hoped to get their sixth straight win. In the first quarter, KAT put up three points, three rebounds and one steal. Jalen Brunson, who scored six points in the opening period, kept the game within reach for New York.

In the second quarter, Karl-Anthony Towns added six more points. Jalen Brunson continued to carry the New York Knicks by adding eight points to his total score of 14. Brunson also did a good job facilitating the ball for his team after notching seven assists before the end of the first half.

Towns had a relatively quiet third quarter as he only scored two points with a layup early into the period.

In the fourth quarter with the Knicks up by double digits, Karl-Anthony Towns largely played a supporting role, connecting on one three pointer and an authoritative cutting dunk from an assist by Miles McBride. This took his overall points total to 16 from 32 minutes played.

Knicks vs Magic recap: Karl-Anthony Towns scores 16 points to support Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart

The New York Knicks and Orlando Magic matched up on Friday. The Knicks successfully accomplished their sixth consecutive win after notching a 108-85 victory over the Magic. Taking care of business for New York was Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. Brunson was the Knicks’ leading scorer. He put up 26 points, nine assists and two steals to lead his team to victory. As for Hart, he put up an all-around double-double performance with 23 points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Two other Knicks players were in double figures to help the team achieve success on Friday. Mikal Bridges scored 17 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 16 points. New York’s big four was on full display and is proving to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference so far.
