Despite not taking the floor in a game yet this season, Kawhi Leonard has been one of the more talked about stars in the NBA. As the former Finals MVP continues to work his way back to action, he shocked many with an appearance on social media.

Throughout his career, Leonard has built a reputation of being one of the quieter stars in the league. His online presence is minimal, but that changed on Friday. The LA Clippers star now has an account on X (formerly Twitter), and he made his first post.

For his first post on X, Kawhi Leonard posted an ad for the second installment in his line of signature shoes. The six-time All-Star has been signed with New Balance since 2018. In the ad, Leonard is driving to a lake while listening to a voicemail on his phone.

The person at the water ends up being another version of himself, and the two get to talking. It ends with Leonard stating that no matter if it's good or bad days, he keeps coming back.

One of the biggest tidbits from the video is a person on the radio stating that Leonard will be back on the court "pretty soon."

"The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of understanding"

Now past the quarter mark of the season, the Clippers still await Leonard's debut. He hasn't been in action since the summer when he was forced to leave Team USA training camp due to injury.

LA Clippers second-year forward gives his thoughts on Kawhi Leonard

While Kawhi Leonard hasn't suited up in a game for the LA Clippers yet, he has been around the team. The star forward was recently spotted on the floor following practice earlier this week.

Upon seeing Leonard getting work in the floor, members of the Clippers were asked about how he's looked during his rehab process. Among those to speak on the subject was second-year forward Jordan Miller. He feels Leonard still looks like the player we have grown accustomed to seeing.

"His ability to shoot the mid-range, wether you're there or not, feel like it doesn't even bother him," Miller said. "Just his presence, you gotta respect his game."
"Kawhi has always been a great player, I don't think he's lost a step at all."

Despite being without Kawhi Leonard all season, the Clippers still find themselves in the playoff picture in the Western Conference. Thanks to strong play from James Harden, Norman Powell and others, they sit in seventh place with a 17-13 record.

If Lenoard is able to return and look like his old self, LA could quickly turn into a dark horse team in a stacked Western Conference.
