Derrick Rose's wife Alaina Rose shares a three-word reaction to her husband's jersey retirement news
D-Rose's wife, Alaina, reacted to the Chicago Bulls retiring her husband's jersey. On Saturday, she shared Sports Center's Instagram post reporting the news on her Instagram story.
"IN THEM RAFTERS!!!!!" She captioned the story.
The Bulls drafted Derrick Rose as the first pick in the 2008 draft. He spent eight seasons with Chicago, and during his time at the franchise, he won the 2011 NBA MVP honor. Rose was one of the most promising players in the early 2010s, but then he tore his ACL in 2012.
It was a turning point in his career as the injury robbed him of his explosive speed and athleticism. Despite getting injured, he came back and resumed his career. However, he couldn't regain his MVP form, and after spending the 2015-16 season in Chicago, he was traded to the New York Knicks.
In the latter half of his career, Rose became a veteran, welcoming and guiding the rookies in the league.
