Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has a 5-word message to Kiki Rice as UCLA star achieves big milestone

On Sunday, Orlando Magic guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope congratulated UCLA star Kiki Rice for achieving a big milestone in her collegiate career. He shared a post on Instagram highlighting Rice crossing the 1000 career point mark and coupled it with a congratulatory message in the caption.

"Congrats lil sis!! Keep going! #NeverGiveUp," KCP wrote.

Rice achieved the milestone on Sunday during UCLA's matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He crossed the mark with flair with a skillful layup with a little over four minutes left in the second quarter.

Rice concluded the game with 18 points, on 8-of-8 shooting, along with six rebounds, two assists and four steals to help the Bruins clinch a convincing 91–54 win against the Cornhuskers.

Rice shared in the postgame interview she was unaware that she'd reached the milestone.

“I didn't know that I had 1,000 tonight until someone said it in the locker room,” Rice said. "I'm not really keeping track of that stuff, I'm just focused on winning.”

With the win on Sunday, the UCLA Bruins extended their undefeated streak to 13.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope wishes LeBron James on his birthday

On Monday, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope wished his former teammate LeBron James on his 40th birthday on Instagram. He shared an image of him and Bron hugging on the court and coupled it with a birthday message in the caption.

"Happy birthday big bro!! 🤞🏾🫡💯" KCP captioned his IG story.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and LeBron James spent three seasons together at the LA Lakers and became championship teammates when they won the title in 2020.

James is the oldest active player in the league and is in his 22nd season, the most ever in NBA history. Despite his age, James is one of the best players in the league, averaging 23.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 9.0 assists while shooting 49.6% from the field including 35.7% from beyond the arc.

Speaking to reporters on his 40th birthday, the four-time NBA champion said he could play at a high level for another 5-7 years if he wanted but wouldn't do so. James had previously stated that his decision to retire would ultimately come down to his ability to keep up with the game.
