Like most former NBA stars, Kevin McHale also likes to share his thoughts on the current generation. His comments on the Golden State Warriors star nearly 10 years ago resurfaced again.
At his peak, McHale was one of the NBA's top-scoring threats in the low post. Back in 2015, the Hall of Fame forward was asked if Draymond Green could have defended him. The Boston Celtics legend reacted, claiming the former Defensive Player of the Year is too short to match up with him.
As Kevin McHale's remarks made the rounds online again, NBA fans decided to chime in with their thoughts. Many agree that the Golden State Warriors forward would have had a tough time in this hypothetical matchup.
"Kevin would have put Draymond in a dishwasher and got kicked in the balls. Benches would have cleared because the Celtics weren't bitches and dealt with worse in the Pistons," one fan commented.

McHale was the third overall pick for the Celtics in 1980 and played 13 years with the franchise. Alongside Larry Bird and Robert Parish, he'd help deliver the iconic franchise three championships. Aside from this, McHale was also a seven-time NBA All-Star and won Sixth Man of the Year on two separate occasions.
Kevin McHale praises Boston Celtics' current star duo
Kevin McHale, like most former Boston Celtics players, maintains strong links to the team. Earlier this summer, he lauded the team's All-Star duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for finally getting over the hump.
From the time Tatum arrived on the scene, he and Jaylen Brown consistently had the Celtics in the playoff picture. Despite several deep runs, they were never able to bring the franchise a championship. That changed last season when Tatum and Brown won Boston's first NBA championship since 2008.
About a week after the NBA Finals ended, Kevin McHale, a guest on Sirius XM NBA Radio, discussed the Celtics' victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The legendary forward praised Tatum and Brown.
"I thought they matured a lot," McHale said. "You're playing the flow of the game, you're not playing for your numbers, you're playing for the flow of the game."
During the NBA Finals, both All-Stars led the charge for Boston en route to a championship. Jayson Tatum averaged 22.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.2 assists. Jaylen Brown, who received Finals MVP honors, posted averages of 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
With their victory, Brown and Tatum joined McHale and countless other legends who have won a championship for the Celtics.
