Kim Kardashian's mom showers love to Vanessa Bryant following loss of Kobe's Palisades home in LA wildfires

Vanessa Bryant has worked tirelessly to preserve the legacy and memory of her late husband, Kobe Bryant. However, as Bryant announced on Instagram Tuesday, a recent wildfire in the Pacific Palisades area destroyed the family's home.

Vanessa Bryant reflected on the devastating Palisades fire in Los Angeles, where she and the late Kobe Bryant initially lived after getting married. She went further to express her condolences and support to those affected by the fires with her organization, the Mamba & Mamacita Sports Academy, which is working to assist the LA community.

"Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started 💔). We have so many beautiful memories from living in L.A. There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better."

The post drew an outpouring of support, including a message from Kris Jenner. Jenner dropped heart emojis in the post's comment section on Instagram.

The Palisades Fire, currently burning in the Santa Monica Mountains of Los Angeles, started on Jan. 7 and has since spread rapidly due to the strong Santa Ana winds and severe droughts. At the moment, the fire is currently 11 percent contained, with the cause still under investigation.

Vanessa Bryant gifted WNBA legend Dawn Staley a pair of custom Kobe Bryant sneakers, which were released in partnership with Nike. Staley, in return, appreciated the gesture as she wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram on Friday.

The late Kobe Bryant's wife has partnered with Nike to gift Kobe Bryant shoes to several colleges over the years. Previous recipients include Caitlin Clark, her Hawkeyes team and the reigning NCAA Men's national champion, the UConn Huskies.

Vanessa Bryant is keeping the Mamba spirit alive by honoring his memory via their foundation. While it is sad that the fire destroyed their home, the Kobe Bryant legacy lives on.
