A disappointed LeBron James slumped down on his chair to face reporters after the LA Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs. LA’s 108-106 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the postseason ended James’ 2023-24 campaign. He told the media that he would decide about his NBA future at a later date but would focus on his family and USA Basketball.

James has been enjoying his vacation but one can only assume his training will not be too far away. On Friday, a clip of the four-time NBA MVP already working out quickly became viral. The NBA’s all-time points leader couldn’t seemingly miss on a variety of shots.

The hit video prompted fans to react on social media:

One fan pointed out why the NBA’s oldest player looks invigorated:

“locked in for Bronny you love to see it”

Another fan predicted where LeBron James' training is for:

“He’s ready to win banner 18 with Bronny”

LeBron James’ immediate goal is to help Team USA defend the Olympic gold medal it won four years ago in Tokyo. The Americans will bring a super team led by “King James,” Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant and newly crowned NBA champ Jayson Tatum. Despite the star-studded roster, James is unsurprisingly training hard a month before the tournament starts.

LeBron James looks to carry his superb shooting last season to the Olympics

Last season, LeBron James stunned many with the way he shot the ball from deep. After a 32.1% clip during the 2022-23 season, he pushed it to a mind-blowing 41.0% in the LA Lakers’ last campaign. He was the team’s third-best shooter (minimum 30 games) behind Rui Hachimura (42.2%) and D’Angelo Russell (41.5%).

Team USA will only become more difficult to contain if James can carry his shooting form to the Olympics. A lineup featuring James, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Anthony Edwards would be a nightmare to stop. All five can hit shots from deep, forcing opponents into deflating situations.

The only chink in his armor was his 3-point shooting, something that he fixed last season. If he can be efficient from that distance in Paris, the other nations could be playing for second place.
