Looking at the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks' remaining Emirates NBA Cup action

Today's Emirates NBA Cup game between the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks is the second to last group stage game on both teams' schedules.

As previously mentioned, Charlotte is currently ranked last in East Group A, and is trying to pick up their first win of the group stage in hopes of keeping their NBA Cup dreams alive.

The team began this year's In-Season Tournament with a 114-89 loss to the Orlando Magic on Nov. 12. While the team then attempted to even up their group stage record, they dropped a narrow 116-115 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 19 to bring their record to 0-2.

Following today's game, the team will wrap up the group stage with a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday before the knockout round begins on Dec. 10.

On the flip side, the Knicks have gone undefeated in the group stage, defeating the Miami Heat on Oct. 30, before then picking up a 111-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Their final game of the group stage will be played against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, which will likely determine whether or not the team will advance to the knockout rounds.
