Max Christie has caught the attention of NBA fans as they compared his looks to LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. In a reel posted by the team's official Instagram account, Lakers players, including Christie shared their thoughts on JJ Redick and his coaching staff.
However, fans took to the comments section and talked about how similar Christie looks to Bryant.

One fan called him the "secret son" of the five-time NBA champion.

Other fans joined the conversation and shared similar takes.

Christie started his career with the Lakers after getting selected as the 35th pick in the 2022 NBA draft. As per Spotrac, he signed a $32 million contract with the franchise. Although he might share some facial features with Kobe Bryant, the two have no relation.

Max Christie appeared on the "Sloane Knows" podcast in August where he answered several questions and talked about his experience with the LA Lakers. During the rapid-fire segment, Christie discussed his desire to go to dinner with Kobe Bryant.
Sloane asked him who he would want to go to dinner with and Christie immediately answered it. She then asked Christie if he would eat a cheeseburger and fries (his favorite food) at the dinner.
"If you could go to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?" Sloane asked.
"Kobe Bryant," Christie answered.
"What would you eat at the dinner? Cheeseburger and fries?" Sloane asked.
"Ahh nah. I'd get Steak," Christie said.
Max Christie is one of the young players of the Lakers who has shown potential to become their core member in the future. He is entering his third campaign in the NBA and averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game last season.
