Kyle Kuzma's mother Karri Kuzma speaks out on trade speculation involving Wizards star

Kyle Kuzma's mom, Karri Kuzma, recently expressed her thoughts on the rumors that the Washington Wizards are planning to trade her son. Prominent sports journalist Marc Stein reported that the Wizards are actively seeking a trade in exchange for their forward Kuzma.

While Kyle has undoubtedly become one of the team's leaders, it appears that the feeling is mutual between both parties as he seeks to leave as well. Stein reported that Kuzma is no longer happy in Washington, especially after having another rough start to their season.

It appears that Kyle Kuzma's mother, Karri Kuzma, fully supports her son's potential departure from Washington. Karri went on X (formerly Twitter) to repost a tweet about Marc Stein's report on Kyle. Karri captioned in her post:

"I’ll sit this right here."

It seems that the Kuzmas are ready for a change of scenery. However, it could've happened sooner if Kyle accepted the trade offer from the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas wanted to add Kuzma to their roster in hopes of making a deep playoff run. Despite not securing a deal with the Washington Wizards, the Mavs still achieved their goal as they made an NBA Finals appearance for the first time since 2011.

Kyle Kuzma has been out of action for a while, playing only 12 games this season due to a rib injury in late November. While fans are concerned that it might be a season-ending injury, Kuzma appears to be fine as he recently posted an image of himself lifting weights during his recovery phase.

However, while it was heartwarming to see that Kuzma is fully capable of participating in physical activities, there are concerns that he might want out of the Washington Wizards. In the image Kyle uploaded on his Instagram stories, the Wizards forward inserted a cryptic caption stating:

“Healthy, confident, full strengthened & tested thru the wind. Love u 🏀will be demonstrating who I am and what I’m about in a big way don’t snooze.”

Kuzma then followed up with another image of a man dancing under the rain with a caption saying:

“Sometimes you can’t wait for the surges of the storm to traverse."

While this doesn't confirm anything, Kyle Kuzma's cryptic message makes Marc Stein's reports make more sense. As of this writing, the Wizards haven't found a team that is interested in trading for Kuzma.
