Kyrie Irving was the latest celebrity to appear on Kai Cenat’s online streaming on Twitch. The Dallas Mavericks point guard chatted with the uber-popular social media star. During their talk, the two ended up talking about age.
Irving told the YouTube sensation a few stories of when he was still in his 20s. The comedian, 22, told Irving he shouldn’t be saying them as if he was much older than him. When Uncle Drew told the YouTuber that he was 32, the reaction was priceless:
“Damn!”

Kyrie Irving balled up his hands as if he was about to punch Kai Cenat. The two laughed it off, shook hands and continued with their talk.
The streaming sensation’s comment was reminiscent of Kevin Hart’s reaction to Don Cheadle telling Hart he was 56. Here’s the hilarious exchange between Hart and the legendary actor:
Irving and Kai Cenat kept touring the comedian’s house while talking more about age and generations. The Twitch star continued to insist that the NBA star wasn’t as old as he sounded.
Irving responded:
"Look, the only thing about this generation now is the vocabularies, when you call somebody Unc in their 30s while we're still getting after it in our own way.... come on bro.”
The conversion between Kyrie Irving and Kai Cenat seemed mundane, but it was a hit on social media. The streamer’s reaction to Irving saying his age has created a buzz because of their fans.
Kyrie Irving was already a huge success in his early 20s
As successful as Kai Cenat is in his early 20s, Kyrie Irving was on a different level when he was the streamer’s age. The former Duke star was the No. 1 pick in the 2011 NBA draft. He also carried a huge burden on his shoulders after fans dubbed him as LeBron James’ successor in Cleveland. Irving was a Rookie of the Year winner, a three-time All-Star and earned an All-NBA selection by the time he was 22.
Uncle Drew had four seasons of NBA experience when he reached that age. He was one of the biggest and most popular stars in the league. Irving sounded old to Kai Cenat because he is a decade older and his experience and success in his early 20s gave him insight he willingly shared with the host.
