Kyrie Irving got into a heated argument with OKC Thunder players on Friday when the Dallas Mavericks went up against their Western Conference rivals. Irving got into a war of words with Alex Caruso and Isaiah Joe. The verbal spat took place in the third quarter.

During one of the plays in the third period, Isaiah Joe attacked the basket for a layup. However, PJ Washington was there to defend the shot attempt, which resulted in a hard foul. Alex Caruso didn't appreciate Washington's actions and immediately came to his teammate's aid. Caruso told off Washington while pushing him away.

After witnessing what transpired between Alex and PJ, Kyrie Irving got involved by confronting Caruso. Irving wasn't a fan of what Caruso and Joe did to Washington and got into a heated exchange with the Thunder players.

A YouTube channel, "LegendZ Productions," uploaded a leaked audio of Irving's verbal exchange with the OKC players. Here's what the Mavericks star had to say to Alex Caruso and Isaiah Joe:

Mavericks vs Thunder recap: Kyrie Irving leads Dallas to victory

With Luka Doncic still out of their lineup due to injury, Kyrie Irving had to step up as they attempted to break their cold streak. Thankfully, the Mavericks found success as they secured a 106-98 victory over the number one team in the Western Conference.

It was a redemption game for Irving after putting up a poor performance against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Up against the Thunder, Kyrie led his Mavericks by adding 25 points, five assists, five rebounds and one steal. His shooting was also solid enough compared to his previous performance as he shot at a 47.4% accuracy.

After beating the top team in their conference, the Mavericks have momentum on their side. Their next opponents will be LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets. Dallas' upcoming matchup will take place on Monday.

There is still no update on when Luka Doncic will make his awaited return. In the meantime, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson need to do everything they can to maintain or improve their record as the postseason rapidly approaches.
