Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks took on the OKC Thunder on Friday. Irving had missed the Mavericks' previous game against the New Orleans Pelicans, a 119-116 loss. The last time Irving played was against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, putting up 11 points, four rebounds and four steals. He had an ice-cold shooting nigh, with 22.2% accuracy from the field.
Against the Thunder, Irving looked to make up for his lackluster performance. The opening period was good start for Kyrie on Friday, as he scored six points and made 50% of his shot attempts. He and PJ Washington kept the game within reach as the team trailed by four at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Kyrie Irving continued with his scoring assault, adding 11 more points. His efforts on offense helped the Dallas Mavericks take a 20-point lead by the end of the first half.
