The LA Clippers pulled off a thrilling 114-110 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Norman Powell scored the go-ahead jumper before sinking game-sealing free throws. LA showed better poise and execution late in the game to beat the host team.

James Harden, who had seven points in the fourth quarter, finished the game with 21 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and one steal. Ivica Zubac, a thorn in the Grizzlies' side, ended with 20 points and 20 rebounds, nine coming from the offensive glass.

Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane carried the Grizzlies. They combined for 67 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists. Morant missed a shot, while Jackson committed a costly turnover that allowed the Clippers to walk away with the win.

LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies Game Summary

The LA Clippers took on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, the first meeting this season between the two teams. LA ended the first half trailing 30-28 behind a balanced attack led by James Harden and Ivica Zubac.

The Grizzlies relied on stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. to open the game. They combined for 20 of their team’s first-quarter output. Desmond Bane contributed five points, three rebounds and three assists.

Zubac and Harden continued to play well in the second quarter, while Norman Powell and Kevin Porter Jr. led the scoring charge. Powell and Porter combined for 15 points and four assists in the period.

The Morant-Jackson show got a boost from Bane, who scattered seven points in the second frame. Jake LaRavia and Santi Aldama gave the starters a lift with 11 combined points to help the Grizzlies take a 58-51 halftime lead.

Norman Powell continued his onslaught in the third quarter, adding 10 points to his total. Ivica Zubac sustained his impact inside the paint with multiple offensive rebounds and rebounds. LA won the quarter 40-32 to trail 91-90 heading into the fourth quarter.

A seesaw battle happened in the fourth quarter. James Harden scored seven points, while Powell scored the go-ahead jumper, giving the Clippers a 114-110 victory. The shooting guard completed his heroics by draining the game-sealing free throws.
