Steph Curry's wife Ayesha made an appearance on the red carpet at this year's Baby2Baby Gala, a Los Angeles charity event dedicated to supporting children in need. The gala featured a fundraiser, which raised $17 million.

Brink shares a personal connection with Ayesha, as Dell and Sonya Curry, parents of NBA star Steph Curry, are also her godparents. Dell and Brink’s father, Greg, played basketball at Virginia Tech, while Sonya and Brink’s mother, Michelle, were college roommates.

Ayesha Curry and Steph Curry pledge $25 million to advance children's literacy in Oakland

Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha have committed to donating $25 million over the next five years to literacy programs in Oakland, aiming to provide personalized tutoring for children who are at least two grade levels behind in reading.

According to the Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation, literacy was a cause close to the couple’s hearts, noting that in Oakland, nearly half of all elementary students were performing below grade level, with many lagging by two or more grade levels.

The couple's literacy initiative will target improving reading and writing skills for students within the Oakland Unified School District.

The foundation said the initiative would offer around 10,000 tutoring spots for elementary school students who are far behind in reading, along with the necessary support and programs to help them succeed.

“This commitment is about more than just closing the literacy gap—it’s about giving these kids the confidence to succeed in all areas of life,” the foundation quoted the couple as saying.

Steph and Ayesha Curry are helping combat childhood hunger through the foundation they established in 2019, which is dedicated to ensuring children have access to healthy meals, educational tools and opportunities for physical activity.
