The LA Lakers visited the Golden State Warriors on Christmas as part of the NBA's annual holiday slate. It's the fourth Christmas game matchup between LeBron James and Steph Curry, who have been the faces of the league over the past decade.
After a thrilling final minutes, Austin Reaves broke the hearts of Warriors fans with a game-winning layup with one second left to give the Lakers a 115-113 win. Reaves also had a triple-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while James put up 31 points, four rebounds and 10 assists.
Meanwhile, Curry had a monster performance of 38 points and six assists. He had 17 points in the fourth quarter, including two 3-point shots in the final 13 seconds to tie the game at 113. They did a great job denying James the basketball in the final possession, but Reaves took over to get the victory.

LA Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Game Summary
Dennis Schroder set the rhythm for the Golden State Warriors in the first quarter with two 3-point shots. Andrew Wiggins scored the highest with 10 points, while Steph Curry had five. Golden State built an early seven-point lead, but the LA Lakers were not letting the game get out of hand.
LeBron James had eight points for the Lakers, while Anthony Davis was held scoreless by Trayce Jackson-Davis. Davis also tweaked his ankle midway through the period and was taken off at the 4:48 mark. The score was tied at 23 after the first 12 minutes.
The Lakers received bad news when Davis was listed as questionable to return after spraining his left ankle. It inspired the team to play better, taking the lead and turning the game around. They led as much as nine, but the Warriors were not going to let them ruin Christmas.
Wiggins continued to play well, while Curry scored 11 points in the second quarter. The Lakers were up 55-52 at halftime, with "The King" scoring a game-high 19 points.
The Golden State Warriors didn't have their usual third-quarter bursts on offense as the LA Lakers outscored them 29-24. The Lakers' defense was excellent as Golden State failed to make a great run to recover the lead.
In the final period, the stars came to play as Austin Reaves and Max Christie stepped up to provide offense with Anthony Davis out. The Lakers had a comfortable lead with under three minutes remaining, but the Warriors were not going away easily.
Steph Curry brought back Golden State in the final two minutes, forcing a 113-113 score with under eight seconds left. The Lakers called a timeout, but LeBron James was unable to get the ball due to Draymond Green's suffocating defense.
Reaves got the ball as the clock was winding down, defended by Andrew Wiggins. He blew by him and made the layup to give the Lakers the 115-113 win. Curry took his chances with a hail mary, hitting the rim as the buzzer sounded.
