The LA Lakers are set to renew their rivalry with the LA Clippers on Sunday, marking the first meeting between the two Los Angeles teams this season. However, coach JJ Redick is facing uncertainty regarding the availability of two key players, Anthony Davis and Jaxson Hayes, ahead of the highly anticipated matchup.

Davis missed the Lakers’ 102-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets due to a left plantar fasciitis issue. The superstar center is currently listed as "questionable" on the injury report for Sunday’s showdown.

On the other hand, Finney-Smith, who has missed the last two games for personal reasons, is not listed on the injury report, suggesting he may be available. Following the win over the Nets, coach Redick expressed optimism that both Davis and Finney-Smith would suit up against Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.

Meanwhile, Jaxson Hayes is listed as "questionable" with right shoulder soreness. Hayes started in place of Davis against the Nets and his potential absence would further test the Lakers' depth in the frontcourt.

LeBron James, listed as "probable" due to left foot injury management, is expected to play against his former coach Ty Lue's team.

The Lakers currently hold the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings with a 22-17 record through 39 games.
