Lakers coach JJ Redick expressed his excitement following his team’s dominant 111-88 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. After the game, Redick made a candid statement about the Purple and Gold’s current roster, addressing the ongoing rumors surrounding LeBron James and Co.’s efforts to strengthen their lineup ahead of the Feb. 7 trade deadline.

"I really love our group, and l really love our group when we're connected," Redick told reporters.

The Lakers coach’s remarks followed LeBron’s indirect call for GM Rob Pelinka to make moves to enhance the team’s championship prospects.

After the Purple and Gold’s 116-102 loss to the Clippers on Sunday, the four-time NBA champion candidly stated that the current roster requires the team to play “perfect basketball” to secure victories.

With their latest victory, the Lakers moved up to sixth place in the Western Conference standings, improving to a 23-18 record midway through the mojo and feeling great about themselves.

"We're like 2 games away from where we would feel really good about where we are," Redick said.

Heading into their matchup against the Washington Wizards, the league’s worst team, the Lakers were widely expected to secure a victory. LeBron James and his squad delivered as anticipated, taking care of business at home with a commanding 23-point win, a result that undoubtedly boosted the team’s confidence.

Coach JJ Redick expressed his delight with the team’s performance, calling it one of the most complete games the Lakers have played all season.

"That was one of our more complete games regardless...who the opponent was," Redick said "We executed at a pretty high level. The shots we were able to generate from 3 were great. I thought it was a great offensive game for us."

Up next, Redick and the Lakers face a significant challenge as they take on the defending champion Boston Celtics at home on Thursday.
