On Saturday, Gilbert Arenas shared his opinion on who the LA Lakers should land between Zach LaVine and Jimmy Butler, going with the Chicago Bulls star. Several names have shown up on the radar of the 17-time NBA champions, with fans picking who should join LeBron James and Anthony Davis as the team's third star.
“Zach LaVine. Jimmy Butler, the way he plays now? I’m good. I don’t need another guy who’s just gonna disappear just whenever. I don’t need fourth-quarter Jimmy right now. I need someone that’s gonna get us along. I already got fourth-quarter Bron, that's gonna be 20 points in the fourth quarter, I don't need that s**t no more," Arenas said on Playback TV.

The Lakers have been linked with a move for Zach LaVine for a couple of years, and this season could be the one in which they finally meet. The guard was rumored to be on his way out of Chicago after DeMar DeRozan joined the Sacramento Kings, but he's stayed put at United Center with the 10-14 Bulls.
Gilbert Arenas uses Darvin Ham to take a jab at JJ Redick
Gilbert Arenas has been active in talking about the Lakers situation this week. On Monday's edition of "Gil's Arena," he got jokes while the Lakers lost 109-80 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the third quarter of the game, the former guard mocked JJ Redick by calling for Darvin Ham's return to the Lakers bench.
"Hey, tell Ham to come back, man. We need somebody to blame." Arenas laughed, "I just wanna be like, its the coach. It is the coach's fault."
Following a 3-0 start, the Lakers have become a disappointing team, unable to connect on offense and stop anybody on defense. They've had three coaches since winning the 2020 NBA championship and the same issues keep happening. Perhaps another star is the solution for the Purple and Gold.
The Trail Blazers are a weaker team on paper, which gives hope to the Lakers, but another loss on Sunday would raise eyebrows around Lakers Nation.
