LA Lakers fans couldn't hide their excitement following the team's win in Luka Doncic's debut. The Lakers have a shot at making the playoffs with homecourt advantage as long as Doncic stays healthy.
"It's Lakers world and we're living in it," a fan wrote.
"LA might be going places this year," one fan claimed.
"We just getting started. Coming for you OKC," another fan remarked.
The LA Lakers pulled off what might be the biggest trade in NBA history by sending Anthony Davis and Max Christie to the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic is the latest superstar to join the purple and gold, ensuring that the franchise has someone to build around once LeBron James leaves.
"Don’t think I stopped smiling the entire game," a fan tweeted.
"I watched every second of this game and it still doesnt feel real," one fan commented.
"Are we keeping the streak past All-Star break?" another fan asked.
The Lakers have one more game before the All-Star break on Wednesday against the same Jazz team, but this time at Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Speaking to ESPN's Jorge Sedano after the game, Luka Doncic was asked about his LA Lakers debut. Doncic was very happy to play for the legendary franchise, as well as the support from the fans and Dirk Nowitzki, who was in attendance.
Doncic also called the Lakers a "very dangerous" team due to their ball movement and defense.
"I think the ball was moving very well," Doncic said. "On defensive end, I think we can lock down a lot of players, so I was just happy to be on the court again."
The Lakers have now until next season to convince Doncic to stay in Hollywood and be the next great franchise player. He could become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2025-26 NBA season.
