LaMelo Ball looked to bolster his All-Star campaign as the Charlotte Hornets sought back-to-back wins during their visit to the Phoenix Suns. Despite Ball’s standout individual performance, the Hornets fell short, losing 120-113.

This was Charlotte’s first game in five days after their scheduled matchups in Los Angeles were postponed. In their previous outing, the Hornets ended a grueling 10-game losing streak with a hard-earned 115-104 victory over the Suns on their home floor.

Charlotte came out firing in the first quarter, with Ball and Mark Williams each scoring nine points, showing little sign of rust. The Hornets outscored the Suns 34-28 and built a lead as large as 12 points.

Phoenix, however, rallied in the second quarter, briefly taking control with a lead as big as six.

The Hornets finished the half strong, with Brandon Miller sinking two free throws, Williams finishing a driving layup and Ball adding two more from the stripe to complete a 6-0 run that tied the game at 62 going into halftime.

Ball contributed 12 points and six assists, while Williams delivered an impressive first half with 22 points and 13 rebounds on an efficient 9-for-10 shooting.

The Hornets carried their energy into the third quarter, outscoring the Suns 36-31. However, their efforts faltered in the final frame as Phoenix dominated with a 27-15 run to seal the win.

LaMelo Ball finished the game with 25 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds, though he struggled with efficiency, shooting just 9-for-25 from the field. Below are his stats:
