Lonzo Ball believes LaMelo Ball is a top-five player
Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball, two of the NBA’s most prominent sibling duos, have both dealt with injuries throughout their careers.
Speaking on Gil’s Arena on Thursday, Lonzo shared his thoughts on his younger brother’s potential, claiming LaMelo could be one of the league’s elite.
"I think when he's healthy and he's locked in... When I can see that he's really tuned into the game, he's a top-five player in the NBA right now,” Lonzo said (per SI).
LaMelo last earned an All-Star nod in 2022, and with several Eastern Conference stars sidelined by injuries this season, he has a chance to make his second All-Star appearance.
So far this season, LaMelo is averaging 30.0 points, 7.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. Lonzo, appearing in 12 games off the bench, has averaged 5.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds.
