LeBron James entered the NBA at 18 years old. He made it straight out of high school, and while he dominated right away, it took him a while before winning a championship.
Just like Michael Jordan before him and many more, the now-legendary small forward needed to go through some growing pains before sitting at the mountaintop.
His physical prime was one of the most impressive and dominant of all time. He even made it to the NBA finals eight consecutive times from 2011 to 2018, being the absolute ruler of the Eastern Conference.
That's why one frustrated fan reached immortality with one epic tweet. Back in 2015, when James turned 30, the fan predicted that James wouldn't be in the league for much longer. Needless to say, this take aged like bad milk. Even James laughed about it in his recent appearance on the Kelce brothers' "New Heights" podcast.

"Yes, I saw that tweet throughout all of my 30's," James said. "And I laughed at it so hard every single time."
Notably, James has been keeping tabs on that now-famous X user, and he poked fun at how he might feel about him in the future.
"Wanna know what's funny? When I turned 40, the same f***ing guy said, 'LeBron turned 40, this f***ery won't go on much longer.' Oh my goodness, he's gonna be real upset when I turn 50," he added.
LeBron James claims he could play for five more years
What LeBron James is doing at 40 years old is unprecedented. And while he's showing some signs of slowing down, he believes he could still be at the top for another half-decade if he sets his mind to it.
“To be honest, if I really wanted to, I could probably play this game at a high level for another year, it's strange to say this, but probably another five to seven years if I wanted to,” James admitted on Dec. 30.
He's averaging north of 23 points, almost eight rebounds, and nine assists per game for the LA Lakers. Even if he has to take a breather every now and then, it's evident that he could be the best player on a good team. Then again, he's also earned the right to call it a day and enjoy retirement. It's not like he has anything left to prove at this point in his career.
