LeBron James beamed with pride as his son, Bronny James, had a standout performance for the South Bay Lakers against the Rip City Remix in the G League on Friday. Bronny's game was highlighted by two impressive dunks that quickly went viral on social media.
Bronny set a new career-high with 31 points on 10-for-22 shooting, including 5-for-11 from beyond the arc. South Bay won 122-110.

But it wasn’t just his shooting that caught attention — his athleticism was on full display as he threw down a dunk over Rip City’s Sterling Manley.

He also completed an alley-oop, gliding through the paint for an easy, emphatic finish.
LeBron James shared a photo of Bronny finishing the alley-oop on his Instagram Stories, adding the caption:
“Take flight Young 🤴🏿(prince).”

Bronny's breakout performance in the G League was a positive sign for both Lakers fans and the James family. With the LA Lakers, he is averaging just 0.3 points, 0.3 assists and 0.2 rebounds in 2.4 minutes per game, mostly during garbage time.
Bronny James' career-high in the NBA is two points, a feat he’s accomplished twice — once in October against the Cleveland Cavaliers in his father's hometown, and again in November when the Lakers faced the Memphis Grizzlies.
LeBron James and Bronny James decline Skills Challenge invite
LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, have chosen not to accept an invitation to take part in the NBA Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend, according to a report by Chris Haynes.
Had they participated, they would have made history as the first father-son duo to compete in the event.
LeBron last took part in the Skills Challenge in 2006 and 2007, both won by Dwyane Wade.
Haynes also mentioned that Bronny, who was selected by the Lakers with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA draft, declined an invitation to join the G League's Rising Stars team.
In October, LeBron and Bronny made history as the first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game during the Lakers' season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
