LeBron James is showing support for his Ohio State Buckeyes, who are set to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a CFP Championship matchup scheduled on Monday. It's been a decade since Ohio State last won the national championship.

With Ohio State on the cusp of winning the entire thing again, the King of Cleveland hyped up the football team with a voice-over stitched to a video featuring his home-state team. The video showcased the hard work Ohio State has put in to get to the CFP national championship game.

Getting a nod from one of the greatest basketball players in history should serve as a motivation for the young football players of Ohio State for the title game.

LeBron James is a prideful Ohio State fan

It's no secret that LeBron James -- an Ohio native -- is a full-on supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Aside from basketball, James is also a huge fan of football. He's mentioned in multiple interviews over the years that he could've played football if he didn't choose to pursue basketball.

LeBron celebrated Ohio State's last national championship back in 2015, and James has continued to support the Buckeyes throughout their journey during this year's College Football Playoff. He showed his pride as a fan when the Buckeyes took on the Oregon Ducks at the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

After Ohio State beat the No. 1-ranked Ducks 41-21 in the Rose Bowl, James posted his approval on X, formerly Twitter:

"KEEP IT GOING!!!! BELT TO A**," James tweeted on X.

According to former Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel, he nearly recruited LeBron James for Ohio State's football team. Tressel revealed that the young LeBron was a talented wide receiver and could've flourished in the sport had he opted to pursue a college career.

Ultimately, James, dubbed as the Chosen One, decided to skip college and enter the NBA in 2003. It turned out to be a good decision as The King went on to become a four-time NBA champion, the league's all-time leading scorer, and a 20-time NBA All-Star.
