Savannah James opens up about Bronny James' cardiac arrest
Over a year ago, in July 2023, Savannah James and LeBron James received news that Bronny James had suffered a cardiac arrest while working out in USC's gym.
Bronny was rushed to the hospital after a quick CPR from one of the members of USC's medical staff. Luckily for Bronny and his family, the eldest son of Savannah and LeBron came back fully healthy.
The mother of the Lakers rookie reflected on the incident in a segment of Netflix's "Starting 5" documentary.
"I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other and just being super grateful for the outcome," Savannah, who was in tears, said in the series' premiere episode.
LeBron James also thanked the USC medical team, especially someone identified as Erin, who performed CPR. The Lakers star said that Erin was literally a lifesaver. The four-time NBA champion also said that he and his family were just lucky that things did not get worse.
Savannah James has enjoyed and took pride in her husband's success for over two decades. Now, that her son is also playing in the league, she will have more years ahead of herself to be proud of her son's achievements, from small ones to big.
