Throuhgout his NBA career, LeBron James has gone through many changes. However, one constant has always been the stability in his off-court life. During a recent interview, the 20-time All-Star reflected on how grateful he is of his wife.

LeBron and Savannah James met in high school, and have remained by each other's side ever since. They tied the knot it 2013 and have three children. Their oldest, Bronny James, has followed in his father's footsteps and joined the NBA ranks.

LeBron James was a guest on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast. Savannah came up during the episode which released Wednesday, which led to the LA Lakers star sharing when he knew his wife was "the one" for him (47:30):

"Not only do I got to put the work in on the court, I have to make sure that I take care of the business off the court as well. You can't be a sh*t show. And when I started to start my family, that was another part I knew Savannah was the one."

Three children and over a decade of marriage later, LeBron and Savannah are still going strong. To this day, she can regularly be found supporting her husband and son up close at Lakers games.


LeBron James has always held Savannah James in the highest regard

LeBron James' comments to the Kelce brothers is not the first time he's gone out of his way to praise his wife. Through every step of his journey in the NBA, the superstar forward has made sure that Savannah gets his due.

Two years ago, LeBron was able to achieve something that many thought was impossible. He set a new all-time scoring record, passing fellow LA Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

When LeBron James first broke the record, there was a slight break in the game against the OKC Thunder to celebrate the special moment. However, the Lakers had a full ceremony to honor this accomplishment days later.

While speaking to a packed crowd in now Crypto.com arena, LeBron thanked many people. Among those to get the biggest shout out was Savannah, who he dubbed the "real MVP."

"My beautiful has been, I mean she's the real MVP if you want to be completely honest," LeBron said. "She's actually the all-time leading scorer if you want to be completely honest."

In all their time together, Savannah has remained his biggest supporter while holding things down behind the scenes.
