In the third preparation game, LeBron James and Team USA faced Serbia today, their first opponent in the group stage of the upcoming Olympic tournament. The LA Lakers superstar once again served as the team's floor general, dictating the pace of the game and managing the American offense.

James contributed 11 points, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and having a decent outing despite not being the team's scoring leader. LeBron hasn't been as active as before, but the King is still making an impact on the game.

Steph Curry and Bam Adebayo led the team in scoring, dropping 24 and 17 points, respectively. James has been in his play-making facet since the start of this process, setting up teammates to score and looking for the best chance to score.

LeBron James, Team USA look stronger after commanding win over Serbia

After two difficult duels against Canada and Australia, Team USA proved that it was only a matter of time before they clicked and started playing at the highest possible level. The Americans had to face the reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, Atlanta Hawks veteran Bogdan Bogdanovic, Charlotte Hornets' Vasilije Micic and more players to get the third win of their 2024 tour.

Serbia looked like a strong candidate and put on a good fight against Team USA. Despite having a talented roster, they couldn't replicate the performance they had against France.

They finished the first quarter tied at 28, but after that, the game belonged to Team USA. The Americans finished the first half up 59-45, with LeBron James scoring five points on 2-for-2 from the field.

The third quarter started with Team USA going on a 12-0 run, with Serbia breaking its scoring drought with five minutes left on the clock. James was doing a little bit of everything, from giving good looks to his teammates to taking opponents to the post and even completing flashy plays like an alley-oop off Bam Adebayo.

The basketball Olympic tournament will start July 28, with Team USA facing today's opponent in their first group stage matchup. Nikola Jokic's Serbia will have some questions to answer before the start of the competition while James and company are looking stronger.

Team USA will face South Sudan on Saturday and Germany two days later to close out its pre-Olympic exhibition matchups.
