Aside from his historical career on the basketball court, LeBron James has launched numerous profitable business ventures. However, fans were caught off guard to see some shocking numbers regarding one of his companies.

In 2020, LeBron launched his media company "SpringHill" alongside his longtime business partner and friend Maverick Carter. According to a report from the New York Post, 2024 hasn't been a good year for them. SpringHill is on pace to lose around $30 million, and that number could increase.

SpringHill has produced multiple projects, most notably "Shoot Stars," "Space Jam: A New Legacy" (which LeBron James starred in) and the talk show "The Shop." On hearing about the company's struggles, NBA fans chimed in on social media with their thoughts, with one tweeting:

Other fans joked that they had no idea the LA Lakers star even owned a media company to begin with, let alone one that's struggling to turn a profit.

"He had a media company?," one fan said.
"He has a media company? Not very good it appears," another fan said.
"His what?," said one fan.

The report also cited that SpringHill plans to merge with British production company "Fulwell 73" in the near future. As the company was formed four years ago, it's reportedly yet to turn a profit.

As mentioned previously, SpringHill is set to merge with Fulwell 73 in 2025 and beyond. When the deal became official, LeBron James took to social media to share his thoughts on the news.

On Nov. 18, Maverick Carter made a post on Instagram to announce the merger with Fulwll 73. He admitted to being a longtime fan of the work the company has done in the past and is excited for what their future will bring together.

After Carter made his announcement post, LeBron James got in on the action as well. He re-shared the clip on his Instagram story with a simple caption to express his eagerness moving forward.

"Proud," LeBron wrote.

Fulwell 73 has produced countless successful projects. They are most known for their work on hit reality TV show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" and producing The Grammys every year.

As of now, there's no news of what the two companies plan to work on together upon merging. However, the former hopes that joining forces will help them turn a profit by the end of 2025.
