Legendary Denver Nuggets coach George Karl shared his thoughts on the team's rapid regression this season. The 73-year-old took to social media to vent his frustrations, bringing back one of his older tweets to justify his views on the current predicament.

The tweet from October 25 shared a short note on how opportunities in the league are limited:

"Windows can sometimes close quickly in the League. Just sayin," Karl wrote.

Retweeting it, George added another caption reiterating the same point:

"Feeling this still two months later re the Nuggets."

Boasting arguably the greatest player in the league, the Nuggets have not surrounded Jokic with the right supporting cast. After their NBA title run in 2023, the Nuggets have continued to regress.

Finishing in first place during their championship year, the Nuggets fell to the second seed last season. This year has been a completely different tale as the Colorado team struggles to find form despite Jokic's 11 triple-doubles so far.

George Karl who has the second most wins as a coach for the Nuggets is a history-maker himself. The 2013 NBA coach of the year knows a thing or two about missing important windows in the league.

Failing to take advantage of a young Carmelo Anthony during his tenure, the coach seemingly fears the same thing happening with Jokic. While the Joker has an NBA title the cast around him needs to get better if they are to win another title under his stewardship.

Denver Nuggets suffer painful loss against the Cavs

After losing on the road to the Phoenix Suns, the Denver Nuggets returned to the Ball Arena against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Eastern Conference leaders dismantled the Denver team, defeating them by 14 points.

Conceding a season-worst 149 points, the Nuggets were left completely exposed, trailing by a margin of 21 points during the first half. This defeat means the Colorado outfit is 8-5 at home, with the 149-135 defeat seeing the most points scored by an opposing team during Malone's tenure.

Nikola Jokic led his team, registering his 11th triple-double of the 2024-25 NBA season. The Serbian recorded 27 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists as the team around him failed to deliver once again.

The Nuggets' season has continued to go from bad to worse. After recording 2 wins and 2 losses in the first month of the season, the Nuggets seemed like picking up the pace in November going 8-5. However, their form has continued to dip in December, with the team going 6-6.
