Cam Thomas of the Brooklyn Nets was having the greatest time on the court following Kyrie Irving's departure. However, Thomas found himself in hot water on Thursday for using an anti-gay phrase following the Nets' 116-105 win over the Chicago Bulls.
Thomas and new teammate Spencer Dinwiddie were interviewed on TNT after the game. Dinwiddie joked that the Nets may have lost a talented player like Irving, but they acquired a couple of "good-looking" players in him and Dorian Finney-Smith.
When Thomas, who had 20 points against the Bulls, was asked to respond to Dinwiddie's comments. He used anti-gay slang.
"We already had good-looking guys, no homo," Thomas said.

Cam Thomas did receive backlash on social media for his comments, but fans were still divided. However, Thomas still apologized on Twitter for his postgame comments.
"I want to apologize for the insensitive word I used in the postgame interview," Thomas wrote. "I was excited about the win and was being playful. I definitely didn't intend to offend anyone but realize that I probably did. My apologies again. Much love."
Here are some of the divided reactions on Twitter:
Cam Thomas turning into breakout star following Kyrie Irving's trade
Cam Thomas has made the most of his opportunities following Kyrie Irving's trade to the Dallas Mavericks. Thomas has been on fire in the last four games, averaging 38.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He's also shooting 49.5% from the field and 48.4% from beyond the arc.
Thomas exploded for 44 points, five rebounds and five assists in his first game since Irving was traded. He came off the bench to help propel the Brooklyn Nets over the Washington Wizards 125-123.
The second-year guard followed that up with 47 points, four rebounds and three assists in the Nets' 124-116 loss to the LA Clippers. He also became the second-youngest player behind LeBron James to score 40 or more points in back-to-back games.
Thomas had another 40-point game for a third consecutive time on Tuesday. He had 43 points, five rebounds and three assists, but the Nets lost to the Phoenix Suns 116-112. Nevertheless, Thomas broke Allen Iverson's record for the youngest player in NBA history to score 40 or more points in three straight games.
