Nikola Jokic leads a group of Serbian players in the 2024 Paris Olympics, keen to make some noise and emulate or improve their best result in this tournament. Previously, at the Summer Games, the country won silver medals twice, in 1996 and 2016.
Jokic is not alone on this quest, as Serbia called several NBA players to represent the country this year. Svetislav Pesic, coach of the team since 2021, has four current NBA players for the Olympic tournament. #4. Vasilije Micic, Charlotte Hornets
Vasilije Micic played 60 games during his first NBA season, following a stellar stint in the EuroLeague. He played 30 games for the OKC Thunder before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this year.
Micić averaged 10.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 30 regular-season games for the Hornets, shooting 43.7% from the field.
#3. Nikola Jovic, Miami Heat
Nikola Jovic played his second season with the Miami Heat after being selected with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Jovic played 46 games this season, averaging 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists, shooting 45.2%, including 39.9% from deep and 70.2% from the free-throw line.
#2. Bogdan Bogdanovic, Atlanta Hawks
Bogdan Bogdanovic has been in the NBA for seven years now, sharing stints with the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks. The veteran guard played 79 games last season under Quin Snyder, averaging 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists, shooting 42.8%, including 37.4% from beyond the arc and 92.1% from the free-throw line.

Nikola Jokic is the face of Serbian NBA players. The 2023 NBA champion is coming off a strong season where he won his third NBA MVP award, although the Nuggets couldn't defend their title.
Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists in 79 games for the Nuggets last season, shooting 58.3%, including 35.9% from the 3-point line and 81.7% of his free-throw shots.
