While the game is scheduled to release on Sep. 6, fans who preorder will have a chance to access the game early on Wednesday morning (Sep. 4). In a post on his Instagram story more than 24 hours before NBA 2k25's early access release, he revealed that he was already online and ready to go.
Duran wrote in the caption that the managing director of 2k Games, Ronnie 2k himself, gave him an early access code. From the looks of things, the two-time NBA champ wasn't the only notable name who received an extra early access code.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ronnie 2k revealed that rapper Lil Yachty was also online and looking for a squad after the rapper posted on his Instagram story showing that he is also locked in after receiving an extra early access code.

In addition, Ronnie 2k revealed earlier in the day that a number of special guests, including NBA star LaMelo Ball, and NFL linebacker Micah Parsons, who won the MVP of the 2024 Celebrity All-Star Game, will be in The City on Wednesday.
