Lonzo Ball dismisses lyricist rumors for brother LiAngelo’s song while playfully taking another credit

Lonzo Ball's other younger brother, LiAngelo, released a new song to start 2025 under the name G3. The Ball brother's song, “Tweaker,” became a hit online. However, the Chicago Bulls guard acknowledged that he was a part of the song.

On X (formerly Twitter), Ball playfully claimed that he assisted his brother in creating the song's cover image, which features a picture of G3 standing while dangling in the air.

"Only credit I deserve is the cover art lol G really that! #YearOfG" Ball posted.

However, the song credits revealed that the older Ball was the song's lyricist. The Bulls guard has experience in making music as he released the song "ZO2" in 2017.

G3 released the song on Saturday. Since then, the single has gained over three million views on YouTube. On the platform Spotify, the song has hit 1.2 million plays.

Other players and teams in the league have had fun listening to G3's new song. The Cleveland Cavaliers' locker was playing the viral song after their 115-105 win on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets.

One of his teammates played it during Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell's interview, somewhat distracting him.

Although LiAngelo's basketball career never took off, he nevertheless gained useful professional playing experience. His first team was Prienai of the Lithuanian Basketball League, where he played with his younger brother LaMelo Ball in 2017.

His time with the Los Angeles Ballers in the Junior Basketball Association came next. He then played for the Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets' G League franchise. The second Ball brother played for the Astros de Jalisco within the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico in Mexico in February.
