James Harden and the Clippers fall to Timberwolves

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves spoiled James Harden's debut in the Harden Vol. 8 on Friday, topping the Clippers 93-92. Despite a heroic effort from Harden, Minnesota's defense shut down his help, limiting the Clippers to just 32.3% shooting from 3-point range.

Harden scored a team-high 20 points on 7-of-20 shooting, grabbing six rebounds, assisting on 11 baskets and plucking five steals. Ivica Zubac, Amir Coffey, Nicolas Batum and Kevin Porter Jr. also scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough to take down Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves.

Edwards scored a game-high 21 points, helping hand the Clippers their eighth loss of the season. With Kawhi Leonard absent, James Harden has carried LA to a 12-9 record, averaging 21.6 points, 8.7 assists and 7.2 rebounds on 34% shooting from 3-point territory.

LA will be back in action on Sunday to take on the Denver Nuggets in the first matchup of a five-game home stretch for the Clippers.
