Fans who tuned into the LA Lakers game late in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night may have been wondering why Luka Doncic wasn't on the court to close out the game. The Lakers guard was having a strong night when he was ejected by JT Orr with seven minutes left. According to Skip Bayless, Doncic has only himself to blame.
Doncic has been known to quarrel and go back and forth with the officials and on this occasion, NBA referee JT Orr seemed to have reached his limit.
In a closely contested game against the OKC Thunder, Doncic appeared to be arguing with a fan in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for Doncic, Orr was standing right beside that fan and seemed to feel the Lakers guard was directing the comments towards him.

Well known media personality Skip Bayless believes Doncic's reputation may have played a role in the questionable ejection. Following the game, Bayless posted the following observation on X:

"Luka, Lakers claiming his profanity was aimed at a fan not at the ref who gave him a 2nd tech. How can a ref tell when Luka bitches and moans to nearest ref about EVERY CALL/NONCALL that doesn’t go his way. Refs get sick of his bellyaching."
The five-time All-Star was visibly frustrated after the call and tried to plead his case, but Orr stood by the decision.
The call came at a critical stage of the game. Los Angeles was leading by one point at the time, and were matching the Thunder every step of the way. The momentum seemed to swing in the home team's favor following Doncic's ejection.
Oklahoma City would go on to win the game 136-120 to secure their 65th win of the season.
Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt discusses Luka Doncic's first technical: "It seemed a little personal"

Two technical fouls for Luka Doncic against the Thunder meant the Lakers went into the final minutes of the game without their leading scorer. It was a major blow that left many of the players stunned.
After the loss, Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt gave his views on his teammate's first technical, which occurred in the third quarter.
"He was just telling the ref that that's what happened," said Vanderbilt. "And the ref was just like ... 'I'll talk to anybody but you, Luka.' So it seemed a little personal at that point."
Luka Doncic finished the game with 23 points, three rebounds and five assists despite playing just 31 minutes.
