Luka Doncic has been hit with another injury as the Dallas Mavericks superstar had to leave the Christmas Day game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after picking a left calf strain.
Doncic played 16 minutes in the game and only lasted about 35 seconds on the court after replacing Spencer Dinwiddie. He was ruled out for the rest of the game, leaving the Mavericks helpless against a team that entered halftime up 57-40.
Dr. Evan Jeffries shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) to shed light on the play where Doncic got hurt. He added that the Slovenian star hurt the same calf he's been handling this season.
More than that, Jeffries said that depending on the grade of his injury, Doncic could be out for up to four or six weeks.

The Dallas Mavericks looked lost without Luka Doncic on the court, but they managed to get back in the game and challenge the Timberwolves, ultimately forcing them to secure their win in the final minutes, ruining what Kyrie Irving tried to achieve in the second half.
The third quarter of this duel started with the Timberwolves extending the lead by five more points after a 33-28 win. When everybody thought this was it, the Mavericks showed they weren't done. Luka Doncic's sidekick Kyrie Irving wasn't going down without putting up a fight, and the guard scored 39 points that helped the Mavericks get close to the Timberwolves.
In addition, the former NBA champion added four rebounds and two assists while making 14 of his 27 field goal attempts, as well as five of 14 3-point attempts. If the Mavericks want to keep their playoff hopes alive, Irving will need to keep this pace and the rest of the team should join him, as Luka's updates aren't promising.
NBA insider shares concerning update regarding Luka Doncic's injury
NBA insider Shams Charania offered a concerning update on Luka Doncic's health, reporting that the Mavericks are "bracing" to be without the Slovenian superstar for an extended period of time. More than that, he left the arena on crutches after the Timberwolves game ended.
Doncic is expected to undergo an MRI on Thursday to have more details about this injury and how long he will stay off the court. This is always a serious concern for the Mavericks, as Doncic is their heart and soul. The rest of the roster must step up to keep their positive record.
