Bronny James is making his first steps in the NBA during the 2024 California Classic Summer League and the Las Vegas Summer League. LeBron James' eldest son entered the league surrounded by criticism, and as the days went by, many fans haven't changed their stance on Bronny.
Given his struggles on the court during his first summer league games, Bronny has admitted that he's willing to play G League basketball if that means he gets time on the court.
"I’m just looking forward to any basketball I play – no matter what level I’m playing at," James said (via Dan Woike).

Many fans shared their reactions to this possibility, some mocking other players, including Michael Jordan's kids. Others made fun of James' chances to make it to the NBA when the next season starts.
"Made it further than MJ's [Michael Jordan's] sons 😭😭😭😭," one fan wrote.
"“Open”? He won’t have a choice 😂," another person wrote.
"Good thing he's open because he was going there anyway 😂," a fan said.
Some noted that this was the obvious move for Bronny, who was a 55th pick after a lone season in college, and somebody even tried to say he wasn't good enough for the G League.
"He isn't even good enough to play in the G League," one fan said.
"The sky is blue," another fan chimed in.
JJ Redick predicts Bronny James' ceiling in the NBA
After Bronny James made his summer league debut against the Houston Rockets, LA Lakers head coach JJ Redick shared his verdict on the young player and dared to compare him to one of the best defenders in the NBA.
The first-year coach doesn't seem bothered by James' struggles and has high expectations for him.
“[Lu Dort’s] impact – you can’t get into your offense sometimes," Redick said on SiriusXM NBA Radio. "The shot clock winds down because of his ball pressure. He literally blows up entire plays because of that pressure. And I really believe this. Bronny eventually will be that guy.”
Lu Dort signed a two-way contract with the OKC Thunder after going undrafted in 2019. He has grown to become one of the best players on the team. Dort is the defensive specialist of the lineup but can also score, although that's not his main job. Bronny James will likely be in the league for a considerable time if he gets close to that level.
