After a historic rookie season at just 19 years old, all signs point to Victor Wembanyama potentially going down as one of the greatest players in NBA history. Memphis Grizzlies wing GG Jackson is among those who believe he will end his career as the greatest to ever do it.
On Tuesday afternoon, Jackson discussed the flak he caught from other NBA players for his prediction during an appearance on "Run It Back." Jackson was asked if he still feels the San Antonio Spurs big man will wind up the greatest player in NBA history.
"Yeah, I got in trouble for that by different players across the league. They was like, 'Man, stop meat riding,' but I'm looking at 10 or 12 years from now when he's got like 30 extra pounds on him and has got a nice goatee with a mustache. He's going to be tough to beat."

Jackson also discussed his confidence in the team San Antonio is building around Wembanyama in his answer.
"That team that they're building in San Antonio, we've seen how teams in our league can rebuild and ultimately be great franchises, like Orlando, how they've drafted their guys."
Victor Wembanyama, Spurs look ahead to OKC matchup after shaky start
After losing the second game of their two-game home stretch, the San Antonio Spurs will go on the road to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. San Antonio has started their season with a 1-2 record through their first three games, seeing shaky play from Victor Wembanyama to start the season.
In three games, he is averaging 20.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.3 assists per game, shooting 43% from the field and an abysmal 22% from 3-point range.
Despite an inconsistent shooting night from Wembanyama in Monday's loss to the Houston Rockets, he mustered his most impressive performance to this point of the young season.
In 35 minutes, he posted 14 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks, on 6 of 14 shooting, connecting on one of his five attempts from 3-point territory. The second-year star will look to find consistency in his shot as San Antonio searches for its second win of the season versus the Thunder on Wednesday night.
