The Dallas Mavericks' 124-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves saw them clinch a berth to the 2024 NBA Finals. Luka Doncic spearheaded the win with a 36-point double-double and set the tone for the game with a 20-point explosion in the first quarter.

The victory also marked the Slovenian's maiden finals appearance. Ably assisting him was Kyrie Irving with 36 points as well as Dallas blizted the T-Wolves. The fans celebrated the Mavericks' triumph on social media.

The reaction was a joke about Cuban's celebrations with Doncic and Irving. He was key in acquiring the latter at the 2023 trade deadline, which has now proven to be a masterstroke after a rough ending to the 2022-23 season.

In addition, Luka Doncic also won the first MVP award of his NBA career as he was named the Magic Johnson Western Conference finals MVP following the Mavericks win. The award, only in its third year of existence, was never really in doubt for the Dallas Mavericks star. He dominated the series by averaging 32.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 9.6 rebounds per game against the T-Wolves.
