Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis seemingly dropped a cryptic tweet following Alex Sarr's rough night in the 2024 Las Vegas Summer League. Sarr went scoreless on Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers after going 0-for-15 from the floor.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Buzelis wrote the letter "I" to keep things open-ended and let his followers complete what he's thinking. Fans have had several thoughts on what he might have meant, but most are saying he's telling people he's better than Sarr.

The French prospect was selected second overall by the Washington Wizards, while Buzelis dropped to the No. 11 pick. However, it might have been the best scenario for him because it was his hometown Chicago Bulls that scooped him up in the draft.

Matas Buzelis has been fantastic in the Summer League for the Chicago Bulls, averaging 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. Alex Sarr, on the other hand, had zero points on Tuesday with nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

The No. 2 pick went 0-for-15 from the field, including 0-for-7 from beyond the arc. He also missed his two free throws in the Washington Wizards' 82-20 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Bulls fans complete Matas Buzelis' tweet

Chicago Bulls fans were hyped when they got the hometown kid Matas Buzelis in the NBA draft. Buzelis was very emotional when the Bulls selected him 11th overall although he's motivated to prove to the teams that passed on him are wrong.

Some Bulls fans are already following Buzelis on X and they tried completing his cryptic tweet. Here are some of the best:

"Told you Alex Sarr was not as good as me," a fan wrote.
"Am the future," one fan replied.
"Will bring Chicago hope again," another fan commented.

Matas Buzelis makes a bold claim

In an interview with Cyro Asseo de Choch of HoopsHype, Matas Buzelis made a bold claim that could rub his fellow rookies the wrong way. However, Buzelis is known for his self-confidence and is not afraid to say what is on his mind.

"I think that I can do everything. Rebound, block shots, score the ball. I can pass the ball. I feel like I can do everything on the court, honestly. .... I feel like I work harder than anybody in this draft class, and that’s where the confidence comes from. I’m not one of those guys that just talk for no reason. I really work hard on my game, so that's why I'm confident in my abilities," Buzelis said.

Buzelis is also confident that he's better than No. 1 and No. 2 picks Zaccarie Risacher and Alex Sarr, respectively. He even went as far as saying that he'll be winning the 2025 NBA Rookie of the Year award.
