Aside from his work as a minority owner for the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban has taken an interest in the upcoming presidential election. With less than eight weeks to go until Americans hit the polls, he invited another successful entrepreneur to a debate.

Over the weekend, Elon Musk re-posted a clip of Cuban talking about the Kamala Harris campaign. This ended up garnering a response, where the Mavs owner was more than willing to have an open discussion on the vice president's policies.

Cuban is even willing to hear Musk break down the viewpoints of the opposing political party.

Mark Cuban has often supported Vice President Harris during the campaign.

As for the basketball world, Cuban is gearing up for his first full season as a minority owner of the Mavs. Luka Doncic & Co. reached the NBA Finals last season and will look to do so again after making major additions, including bringing in four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson.

Mark Cuban speaks on the rise of Jalen Brunson

Before Jordan Brunson emerged as a superstar for the New York Knicks, he started his NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks. While appearing on the All-Star guard's podcast, Mark Cuban opened up on when he felt Brunson was going to be special.

In the first round of the 2022 playoffs, the Mavericks were without Luka Doncic against the Utah Jazz due to injury. In light of the team's star guard being out, Brunson took it upon himself to lead the charge for Dallas in Doncic's absence.

Mark Cuban cited this game as a major turning point for Brunson and applauded his ability.

"That's a big part of what made JB special," Cuban said. "He knew what he needed to do at the time he needed to do it, and he knew how to fit the rest of the time."

In the game Cuban is talking about, Brunson erupted for 41 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a winning effort. The Mavericks reached the conference finals before eventually being eliminated by the Golden State Warriors that season.

This run marked the beginning of the end for Brunson in Dallas. That summer, he opted to sign with the Knicks in free agency.
