The Memphis Grizzlies host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. The Grizzlies have been in a slump lately, losing three of their last four games in Ja Morant's absence. However, they have a shot at regaining momentum as the Mavericks are also missing key players, namely their star duo, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

The Grizzlies comparatively have more depth. Barring the Dec. 29 loss to the OKC Thunder, their other defeats haven't been as close. Jaren Jackson Jr. is playing at an All-NBA level, while Desmond Bane and others have also been productive. Memphis will have the upper hand, but it won't be an easy task.

The Mavericks enter this clash behind four consecutive losses and five in their last six. Despite Doncic and Irving's absence, they will look to land some early punches, which Memphis might struggle to deal with early on.

Memphis Grizzlies injury report: Ja Morant could have company on the sidelines

The Memphis Grizzlies have another lengthy injury report. Along with Ja Morant, who is dealing with a right AC joint sprain. The Grizzlies will remain without Santi Aldama (right ankle sprain), Marcus Smart (finger injury) and Luke Kennard (hamstring).

Aldama has missed five games and is deemed week-to-week. Smart hasn't played since Dec. 21, missing seven consecutive games. He is also week-to-week. Meanwhile, Kennard will miss his second consecutive game.

All-Star probable Desmond Bane will likely sit with them on the bench on Monday. The shooting guard, averaging 16.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists on 47/35/85 splits, is listed as doubtful with a left ankle sprain.

Rookie Yuki Kawamura is probable but likely to play. He is dealing with a left AC joint sprain.

The other absentees are GG Jackson (right fifth metatarsal surgery) and Vince Williams Jr. (right ankle sprain). Jackson hasn't made his season debut, while Williams hasn't played since Nov. 19.
