The Memphis Grizzlies visited the Boston Celtics on Saturday night at the TD Garden as part of their two-game road trip. It's also the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Celtics have dominated the Grizzlies with nine wins in their last 10 matchups.
However, Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. had enough to lead Memphis to a 127-121 win. Morant finished with 32 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals, while JJJ had 27 points, nine rebounds, three steals and four blocks.
Jrue Holiday had 23 points for Boston, but most of that came in the first half. Payton Pritchard scored 22 points off the bench, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for just 39 points.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Boston Celtics Game Summary
The Memphis Grizzlies have not won a game in Boston since Nov. 4, 2013, so they are more than motivated to get the victory. They came out aggressively to start the contest, building an early 10-point lead at the 6:15 mark. Ja Morant finished the first 12 minutes with 11 points and six rebounds.
Jrue Holiday matched Morant's production with 11 points as the Boston Celtics were able to trim the lead before the end of the quarter. They were down 31-27 heading into the second period, with Jayson Tatum scoring just two points and Jaylen Brown being held scoreless.
In the second quarter, the Celtics' fatigue was much more evident since they were playing their fifth game in seven days. They couldn't get over the hump as the Grizzlies were trying to run them to the ground. Memphis made a late run in the period to get the 56-44 lead at halftime.
Holiday remained hot for the Celtics to keep the team afloat, adding five points in the quarter. Tatum added four points to his total, while Brown finally scored and finished with six. Morant is close to a triple-double with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists after the first two quarters.
It was the same story in the third quarter, but the Boston Celtics continued to trim the lead little by little. Kristaps Porzingis had a huge period, returning to the game in the second half after tweaking his ankle in the second quarter. Ja Morant was nearly unstoppable with 14 points in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter started with the Celtics regaining the lead, but the Memphis Grizzlies were determined to get their first win in Boston in over a decade. Jaren Jackson took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 of his 27 points in the final 12 minutes of the contest.
Led by Morant and Jackson, the Grizzlies held on to beat the defending champs 127-121. They play the Washington Wizards on Monday, while the Celtics get a much-needed rest and will be back in action on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons.
