The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies will meet for the third time in two months on Saturday with the regular season series tied at 1-1. Golden State will be looking to build on Thursday's 139-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers when they take on a red-hot Memphis team at the Chase Center. The Grizzlies have the second best record in the West, and are coming off a statement 117-112 win against the Phoenix Suns.

The Warriors and Grizzlies boast two of the most talented offensive lineups in the league, but both teams will be without star players. Two-time MVP Steph Curry is set to miss Saturday's game with a knee issue. Memphis guard Ja Morant is also out due to a AC joint sprain in his right shoulder.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors preview

The Memphis Grizzlies are currently second in the Western Conference standings with a 23-12 record. They have won six of their last 10 games and have a 9-8 record in away games.

Taylor Jenkins's team have been one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the league over the last two months. Since Nov. 23, Memphis has recorded 130 points or more on nine occasions, which includes an incredible 155-point display against the Toronto Raptors. The Grizzlies are averaging 123.5 points per game, the most in the NBA.

The Grizzlies come into Saturday's game with a handful of injuries. Along with two-time All-Star Ja Morant, Vince Williams Jr., Marcus Smart, Santi Aldama, Yuki Kawamura and GG Jackson II are all sidelined.

Jaren Jackson Jr. has been the standout player for the Grizzlies. The 25-year-old forward/center leads the roster in points (22.1), steals (1.5) and blocks (1.7) and ranks third in rebounds (6.1).

The Golden State Warriors season has been been a tale of two halves. Steve Kerr's team came out firing early in the season, and got off to a strong 12-3 start. However, the team has been inconsistent over the last 45 days, winning just five of their last 18 games.

The Warriors are languishing in ninth position in the West with a subpar 17-16 record and will look to turn things around at home against the Grizzlies on Saturday. Golden State has a 3-7 record over their last 10 games and has won nine of their 17 home games.

Injuries will also be a concern for home team. Steph Curry was outstanding in the team's win over the 76ers on Thursday, but is sidelined for the game against Memphis due to a knee injury. Guards Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II are also out with injuries, and forward Andrew Wiggins is listed as day-to-day due to a hamstring issue.

Jonathan Kuminga has stepped up over the last few weeks and the Warriors will need their young forward to be at his best if they hope to overcome a talented Grizzlies team. Kuminga is averaging 16.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 2.2 apg over 31 games.

Jaren Jackson Jr. was sensational for Memphis in their win over the Suns, recording a game-high 38 points and chipping in with 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. The dominant big man is showing that he can contribute in all facets of the game. Jackson Jr's rebound total is set at just 6.5. He is averaging 6.1 per season and after finishing with 12 in his last outing, expect the 6-foot-10 star to go over that total.

Going into the game without guards Steph Curry Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II means the Warriors will call on Dennis Schroder to play a bigger role in Saturday's encounter. The German guard is still adjusting to life in the Bay Area and has not scored more than 15 points in any of his last five outings. Schroder's point total is set at 16.5, which seems high. It is unlikely the Warriors guard goes over that number.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors Prediction

Both the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors are missing star talent and will rely on role players to step up in Saturday's game. Playing at home will be a major advantage for the Warriors, but the Grizzlies have shown that they can pull off big wins in away games. With Jaren Jackson Jr. playing the way he is and no Steph Curry in the lineup for the Warriors, expect the Grizzlies to win this game.
