Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is in hot water again, and some fans are speculating if the NBA will suspend him. Morant was accused of threatening the head of security of a Memphis mall last summer on top of a lawsuit filed by the family of a teen he allegedly threatened.
According to Molly Hensley-Clancy of The Washington Post, Morant had a very troubled summer. He reportedly had an altercation with Memphis mall officials due to his mother's dispute with a Finish Line store employee.
The police report noted that one of the guards felt threatened by Morant's remarks during the confrontation. Four days after the alleged mall incident, Morant was involved in an incident with a 17-year-old boy during a pickup basketball game at his house.
The Grizzlies superstar reportedly beat up the teen and threatened him with a gun. The boy's family has an ongoing lawsuit against Morant and his friend Davonte Pack, who was recently banned from the FedEx Forum due to an incident with the Indiana Pacers.

Ja Morant's agent and lawyer release statement
Ja Morant's lawyer and agent have released a statement in response to the report by Molly Hensley-Clancy of The Washington Post. S. Keenan Carter of Butler Snow LLP called the Hensley-Clancy's report a lie and that they're looking to seek legal action.
Meanwhile, Jim Tanner of Tandem Sports and Entertainment called the Memphis Grizzlies superstar's action against the teenager as self-defense. Tanner noted that the police and the NBA have already investigated the matter and found his client not guilty of anything.
"Any and every allegation involving a firearm has been fully investigated and could not be corroborated," Tanner said in a statement. "This includes the NBA investigation last month, in which they found no evidence. The July 26th incident was purely self-defense. Again, after this was fully investigated by law enforcement, they came to the decision not charge Ja of any crime."
