Anthony Edwards and Metro Boomin's roots in Atlanta

Anthony Edwards was born and raised in Atlanta and went on to play college basketball for the Georgia Bulldogs. Edwards was a highly touted basketball and football prospect in high school before shifting his full focus to playing hoops.

Meanwhile. Metro Boomin moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Atlanta when he was just 16 to focus on producing music. He went on to collaborate with many Atlanta-based artists like Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane and Gunna.

Metro Boomin recently released his album "We Don't Trust You" in collaboration with Future. The single "Like That" ft. Kendrick Lamar immediately topped the charts as the feud with Drake and J. Cole intensified.

"Like That" could get even bigger with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, dropping his verse of the remix of "Like That" on "The Download" podcast with Justin Laboy.

Several NBA players have already chosen sides in the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud with Kevin Durant picking his friend from Toronto, Canada. It's unknown if Anthony Edwards, who knows a thing or two about rapping, has decided on who to support.

Edwards has a great relationship with Metro Boomin, wearing Boominati Worldwide merchandise to games. Here's an image of "Ant-Man" rocking a Boominati Worldwide hoodie in 2021.
