Miami Heat vs LA Lakers Game Summary

The Miami Heat faced the LA Lakers for the second time this season on Wednesday. Miami, which won 134-93 in the first meeting in early December, looked to keep its dominance despite Jimmy Butler’s unavailability due to suspension.

Tyler Herro scattered 16 points with two assists in the first quarter to carry the Heat to a 38-34 lead. Bam Adebayo contributed five points, two assists and a steal. Miami looked sharp on both ends in the first 12 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Lakers leaned on a balanced attack led by Anthony Davis, who had 12 points in the first quarter. LeBron James added three points, three assists and two rebounds.

The Lakers limited Herro to six points in the second quarter, but the Heat got a boost from Nikola Jovic, Kel'el Ware and Bam Adebayo. In return, Miami allowed only two points from Anthony Davis to lead 66-54 at halftime.

The Lakers started to turn the tables on the Heat in the third quarter. Rui Hachimura, Max Christie, Austin Reaves and Gabe Vincent stepped up to help their team dominate the period 29-19. LA trailed by just 85-83 heading into the final 12 minutes.

The Lakers completed the turnaround with yet again another impressive two-way display. They limited Miami to 23 points and dropped 34 on the Heat to win 117-108. Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Reaves led the Lakers in keeping their visitors at bay in the fourth quarter.
